The Twins' 4th Birthday!!

Two weeks ago Gavin and Cierra turned the big 4!  Since we don't really know any kids their age around here yet, we decided to go to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point (affectionately called "the dinosaur museum" by the kids).  We live all of about two miles from Thanksgiving Point, so we figured it would be a great place to spend the afternoon, and we could get home quickly if the kids got too tired and needed to go home.  It was so much fun.  They have a lot of stuff for little kids to play with and learn all about dinosaurs and everything else that goes with them.  Here's some more pictures of the kids at the museum...

This wheel showed the kids measurements of time.

Gavin HAD to do his usual pose!

The wheel that Cierra is turning changed the color of the dinosaur.

Cierra playing in the children's area with a dinosaur puppet.  The dinosaur was "eating" the toy dinosaurs (and my arm, and daddy's leg).

Gavin and Cierra looking at prehistoric fish life.  Gavin is looking at a nasty looking shark.

These last pics were of the kids playing at the erosion table in the museum.  It had a lot of river sand in it along with toy dinosaurs and trees that you could make into little habitats, dams, etc.  Then the table had drains and special spouts that would mimic flooding or rising tides that could wash it all away!  The kids played here for about an hour, and we had to promise them birthday cake to tear them away!

Cierra got "Ponyville" stuff from Mom, Dad and Ashley, and she got a cute outfit from PaPa and Sweetheart!

Gavin (posing again) got a "Diego Rescue Center" from Mom, Dad and Ashley, and an elmo outfit from PaPa and Sweetheart!

The above pictures are of the cake and presents after we got back home from seeing the dinosaurs.  When I was trying to decide what kind of cake to make the twins, Bryan suggested a yin yang, and I agreed that it fit their personalities perfectly!!
